THE CHALLENGE

RUSTLERS REQUIRED A STANDOUT POINT-OF-SALE ADVERTISING TO SUPPORT THEIR NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH.

To take Rustlers’ new gourmet burger range and create attention grabbing point of sale content that made it look simply mouth-watering. Attract and bring in new customers by convincing them to change their perception of the brand. Present the gourmet burger as a premium product and make customers want to trial.

THE SOLUTION

We created a brand that was ‘gourmet’ without taking itself too seriously. The imagery made the burger look delicious (the obvious bit), while the humour gave it a bit of a swagger (the clever bit). The humour in the branding was then rolled out across social media and via point of sale content like Shelf Barkers, Posters, Wobblers and Shelf Edging. It was a campaign to put a smile on people’s face, and a gourmet burger in their hand.

THE RESULT

The Rustlers gourmet burger scored positively across a range of metrics – from brand perception research to feedback from social and trade media. Thanks to the swagger we gave it, the gourmet burger claimed its rightful spot, with extra shelf allocation and a coveted place near the top of listings.
